Speaker: Megan Johnson
Megan Johnson loves words - hearing them, reading them, writing them, and speaking them - but she is most passionate about the Word. She finds great joy in helping women develop a hunger for Scripture, an understanding of how to apply it, and a confidence in studying it for themselves. Megan lives in the Philly suburbs where she serves alongside her husband in church planting. She is also mom to 4 awesome kids, ranging from puberty to preschool. She enjoys a good hike, a good song, a good book, a good cup of coffee, and delighting in her Good God.
In the book of Ruth we not only see steadfast love and redemption, but we also see themes of suffering and biblical lament, idolatry and identity, humility and hospitality, and courageous self-sacrifice and character. Most importantly in the story of Ruth, we see JESUS.
The story of Ruth ultimately points to a BIGGER story - the Grand Story of God's redeeming love. Perhaps the most beautiful part of the book of Ruth is that if you are in Christ, Ruth's story is YOUR story, too.
As we dive into the book of Ruth together, we pray that you will see Christ through it, that you find yourself in it, and that this is the story your life will tell.
